Why so few people write

“There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed.” ― Ernest Hemingway

There's no shortage of places to write. (It would be pointless for me to list them all, but technology is not the issue.)

For me, writing has been an interior odyssey -- nothing more, nothing less.

And perhaps that's why so few people write: they're afraid of discovering something about their true Self that might manifest in the outside world and corrupt what they have.

If you're plugged into the social media space (and even if you're not), I would urge you to sit down every day, write something (even if it's just a series of extended Tweets or something on LinkedIn) -- don't let a lack of time get in the way (rise earlier if you must).

I know it sounds a chore, but you might surprise yourself how your muse shows up, but, better still, it might just transform your life...for the better (at least in part).
